Summary of Duties: The working production manager is responsible for daily operations of in-house production. This person will schedule, organize, and work with the labor force to meet production needs and schedules. The manager will be responsible for the care and maintenance of the production equipment and facility. This manager will report to the VP of Manufacturing.


Required Competencies:

  • Machines and Equipment: Proficient with powered manufacturing equipment and material handling systems to produce finished goods in bulk.
  • Personnel Management: Proven ability to manage a labor force working multiple shifts per day.
  • Process Handling: Experience with shipping, receiving, and finished goods organization.
  • Active Listening: Follow verbal and written instructions, ask questions when appropriate.
  • Physical Strength: Able to lift up to 50lbs repetitively, stand, and undergo continuous bending and reaching for periods up to 10hrs/day.
  • Safety: Ensure the physical safety of oneself and one’s co-workers at all times. Follow all safety-related guidelines and instructions given by supervisors and coworkers to safely operate and clean machines.
  • Computer Software: Ability to operate windows based PC and Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Google, etc.)


Preferred Competencies:

  • Lean: Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices including 5s, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Sourcing: General knowledge with material and equipment sourcing for production environments.
  • Concrete Material Production: Concrete and or masonry construction experience is a plus.
  • Warehouse Management: Warehouse organization/management a plus.


Compensation:
$28-$32 per hour plus benefits DOE

Summary of Duties: The Biotechnology Associate is responsible for daily operations of in-house microalgae production. This person will aid with microalgae culture maintenance, rotation, and harvesting to meet production needs and schedules as well as the care and maintenance of photobioreactor equipment. The Biotechnology Associate will report to the Director of Biotechnology.


Required Competencies:

  • Microalgae Cultivation: Demonstrated ability of maintaining and cultivating microalgae under sterile conditions.
  • Process Handling: Capacity to handle microalgae culture rotation and harvest schedule.
  • Active Listening and Communication: Follow verbal and written instructions, ask questions when appropriate.
  • Physical Strength: Able to lift up to 50 pounds and repetitively or continuously sit, stand, bend, or reach for periods of up to 10 hours per day.
  • Safety: Ensure the physical safety of oneself and one’s co-workers at all times. Follow all safety related guidelines and instructions given by supervisors and co-workers to safely operate and clean equipment.

  • Sourcing: General knowledge with material sourcing for production environments.
  • Concrete: Knowledge and/or experience with concrete and masonry construction is a plus.

Summary of Duties: The R&D Associate is responsible for daily operations of making and testing bio-concrete specimens. This person will aid with formulation process, mix design optimization, and manufacturing process to meet production needs and schedules as well as the calibration and maintenance of mechanical testing equipment. The R&D Associate will report to the Director of Product Development.


Required Competencies:

  • Research and Development: Demonstrated ability in R&D settings and desire to approach challenges with unrelenting inquisition and determination.
  • Building Materials: Knowledge and experience with concrete and/or masonry construction.
  • Process Handling: Capacity to deliver consistent specimens and conduct standardized tests.
  • Awareness: Ability to capture the uniqueness of testing specimens.
  • Active Listening and Communication: Follow verbal and written instructions, ask questions when appropriate.
  • Physical Strength: Able to lift up to 50 pounds and repetitively or continuously sit, stand, bend, or reach for periods of up to 10 hours per day.
  • Safety: Ensure the physical safety of oneself and one’s co-workers at all times. Follow all safety-related guidelines and instructions given by supervisors and co-workers to safely operate and clean equipment.
  • Computer Software: Ability to operate Windows or Mac based PC systems as well as Microsoft and GSuite applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Google Sheets, etc.).

  • Education: 4-year engineering/science college degree.
  • Lean: Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices including 5s, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Sourcing: General knowledge with material sourcing for production environments.
  • Design of Experiment (DOE): General knowledge with DOE.
  • Chemistry/Biochemistry: Basic knowledge with chemistry processing/formulation and/or biochemistry is a plus.


Compensation:
$22-$25 per hour DOE with benefits available
