Summary of Duties: The Production Associate is responsible for daily production duties of in-house manufacturing. This person will work with the Production Manager and other associates to meet production needs and schedules. The associate will be, in part, responsible for the care and maintenance of the production equipment and facility. This associate will report to the Production Manager.


Required Competencies:

  • Machines and equipment: Proficient with powered manufacturing equipment and material handling systems to produce finished goods in bulk.
  • Warehouse Operations: Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with the ability to learn the operation of equipment, learn shipping and receiving procedures, and handling of finished goods.
  • Active Listening: Follow verbal and written instructions, ask questions when appropriate.
  • Physical Strength: Able to lift up to 50lbs repetitively, stand, and undergo continuous bending and reaching for periods up to 10hrs/day.
  • Safety: Ensure the physical safety of oneself and one’s co-workers at all times. Follow all safety related guidelines and instructions given by supervisors and coworkers to safely operate and clean machines.
  • Computer Software: Ability to operate windows based PC and Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Google, etc.).


Preferred Competencies:

  • Lean: Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices including 5s, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Concrete Material Production: Concrete and or masonry construction experience is a plus.
  • Warehouse Management: Warehouse organization/management a plus.

Summary of Duties: The Director of Research and Development is responsible for managing the department and its personnel, advancing current bio-cement formulations and product designs, and conceptualizing new commercializable bio-based cement/concrete formulas and products as requested. This person will be responsible for literature reviews, data analysis, process development, scale-up, mix design optimization, and formulation. The Director of R&D will work closely with the Director of Biotechnology but will ultimately report to the Vice President of Manufacturing.


Required Competencies:

  • Education: Ph.D. degree in engineering, materials science, or chemistry with 3 years of industrial/start-up company work experience or M.S. degree in engineering, materials science, or chemistry with 8 years of related work experience.
  • Leadership: Experience leading engineering or science teams as well as the ability to train and mentor direct reports and/or summer interns.
  • Research and Development: Successful demonstration working in industrial and/or start-up company R&D settings. Desire to approach challenges with unrelenting inquisition and determination.
  • Building Materials: Research and development experience with building material formulation and strength/durability improvement. Demonstrated understanding of the underlying organic and inorganic chemistry principles of these materials is a must.
  • Awareness: Ability to observe, capture, and analyze unique test specimens.
  • Skills: Experience operating mechanical testing equipment (hydraulic testing system) as well as conducting material characterization tests (SEM, XRD, TGA, etc.).
  • Active Communication: Positive, efficient, and clear communication with other personnel and departments. Ask questions when appropriate.
  • Physical Strength: Able to lift up to 50 pounds and repetitively or continuously sit, stand, bend, or reach for periods of up to 10 hours per day.
  • Safety: Ensure the physical safety of oneself and one’s co-workers at all times. Follow all safety- related guidelines and instructions given by supervisors and co-workers to safely utilize research and/or manufacturing equipment.
  • Computer Software: Ability to operate Windows or Mac based PC systems as well as Microsoft and GSuite applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Google Sheets, etc.).


Preferred Competencies:

  • Lean: Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices (5s, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Sourcing: General knowledge sourcing raw materials for production environments.

Summary of Duties:

  • Coordinate the product strategy and business-planning process across cross-functional teams of the company
  • Analyze customer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships
  • Assess current competitor offerings, seeking opportunities for differentiation
  • Analyze product requirements and develop appropriate programs to ensure that they are successfully achieved
  • Appraise new product ideas and strategize appropriate go-to-market plans

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for products – including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch
  • Analyze existing product offerings of companies within the concrete and sustainable building materials markets – including product specifications, pricing, differentiation, and market size
  • Work with the technical team to determine potential new product fit and requirements/impact on existing and future manufacturing capabilities
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams
  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI
  • Analyze market data to develop sales strategies and define product objectives
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources to ensure success for the entire organization
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Prometheus Materials and its features across primary market segment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in product design or engineering
  • Experience with prefabricated concrete products
  • Experience in a dynamic product management role
  • Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
  • Highly effective cross-functional team management
  • Previous experience delivering finely-tuned product marketing strategies
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills
