In Memoriam

Jeff Cameron

Jeff Cameron was a man of unwavering integrity, a visionary whose brilliance shaped the future. As co-founder of Prometheus Materials, he envisioned a greener world powered by science and sustainable technologies.

In addition to his work at Prometheus Materials, Jeff was a dedicated professor at CU, inspiring and leading students with his passion for discovery. His areas of expertise included renewable energy, photosynthesis, carbon fixation, molecular biophysics, and bioimaging, fields where his knowledge and mentorship left a lasting impact on the next generation of innovators.

His deep understanding of chemistry and complex environments led to the co-invention of Prometheus’ core technology. Jeff’s contributions have paved the way for a carbon-negative future, and his legacy will continue to inspire progress toward that vision.
He is survived by his beloved wife and four children. Jeff, you will be deeply missed, and we will honor your legacy in everything we do.
